Lost Records - Bloom and Rage

Lost Records is a nostalgic, melancholic, narrative adventure that combines a coming-of-age story with elements of mystery. The protagonist, Swann, constantly carries a camcorder with her and films everything. This game is about the friendship between Swann, Nora, Autumn and Kat, about memory and loss – the 90s and the attitude towards life are wonderfully captured in many authentic details. Those who lived through that era will experience many flashbacks and can relive how much the world has changed since then in many small details. For people like me, who look forward more than back, this is a great thing. Overall, the story left me feeling sad and pensive – and I think that’s a real strength of that game. You can’t say that about every story. Naturally, a lot of it reminds me of Claudia’s fate, and our story. Of course, there is a photo mode, but it doesn’t work freely everywhere. In cut scenes, there is unfortunately zero freedom of movement. Others can do better than that now! But hey, it’s the 90s! Developer:Don't Nod, Publisher:Don't Nod
