As some of you may recall, on 26 April 1986, the Chernobyl nuclear power station was the site of a nuclear disaster – the worst nuclear accident in the history of the nuclear industry up to that point. It was an ill-fated combination of technical and human error, negligence and corruption – the sort of thing that, in films, would be described as a poor script. As Igor, a physicist who once worked at this ‘nuclear kettle’, you return to the exclusion zone 30 years after the disaster, fighting for your survival, uncovering conspiracies and facing off against mutants and enemy troops. There is a photo mode; but you can also explore the area at your own pace without having to complete the storyline, simply to have a look around and find out more about the history.
